Alameda Historic Remodel & Addition

Remodel of a historic Alameda home. The original structure was built in 1883. It underwent some alterations but most of the original details remained. The challenge was to update the functionality while replicating the original details.

The kitchen was remodeled and opened to the dining room

The second floor was reconfigured with the main bedroom gaining a new bathroom and closet. Another bedroom was turned into two smaller kids bedrooms, and a new bathroom was added and another was remodeled.

On the third level, two new dormers were built to create two additional rooms, and a new wider stairway was built to access the third floor.

Mechanical. plumbing and electrical systems were upgraded, and insulation was added at all construction areas
